This is a wonderful antique holiday themed dish. Christmas pattern with holly, ivy and berries. In the mid to late 19th century, china painting was all the rage. Fine porcelain dishes were ordered from France and England and ladies met on Friday evenings to paint together. Each artist would sign and date their handmade creations on the back.
This piece dates from 1892, in the middle of the Victorian age. It is porcelain. It’s in fine condition with no chips or cracks.
